First, I LOOOVE floating desks, unfortunately, they always cost beaucoup bucks. I encourage people with enough working space, to design one that doesn't cost ten times the amount of a regular desk with legs. Especially considering a floating desk can't handle (well, depending how how well it is mounted), more than likely cannot handle, the same amount of weight as a desk with all of it's lefts.

 

I love the minimalism ad multi-purpose-ful-ness of the design. Not to mention, it almost looks a bit rustic in its modernism.

The Ledge - Walnut by Urbancase

Designed by Trey Jones and Darin Montgomery, The Ledge is a Wall mounted multi-functional 
furniture system. It can be used as a secretary, stereo/media cabinet, or shelf with hidden storage. It comes equipped with a pullout workstation/electronics shelf/writing table, cord management system, pencil tray, and drawer. 

The solid walnut Ledge is finished with hand rubbed oil/wax. 

Mounting hardware is included.
