    "the juice"

I found inspiration on a blog of a man who lost his wife to cancer. He credits this juice to extending her life by 6 months. During a time when all she could stomach was ice cream and cold desserts, he bought a juicer and her body was able to handle and benefit from this juice.

I changed his recipe a bit based on what I had available, but you can see his original post here:

    Thursday morning's cancer fighting juice

    2 honey crisp apples
    1 white mango
    1 broccoli stalk and crown
    2 kale leaves
    6 baby carrots

    Juice.

Note: I never add the kale first.
Note 2: I tried to add blue berries, but they didn't seem to add any juice.

Safeway Grocer outranks Wholefoods in Greanpeace's Sustainable seafood practices list!

Safeway Tops Seafood Rankings as Whole Foods, Kroger Tighten Policies

OAKLAND, CA — Whole Foods Market is on track to switch two types of wild-caight fish to more sustainable supplies by Earth Day and Kroger plans to convert its top 20 seafood species to certified sustainable sources.

Safeway, though, has blown both out of the water with major changes to its policies that netted it the top spot in Greenpeace's sustainable seafood rankings.

    Organic Elite-

Whole Foods, Stonyfield and Organic Valley sell out to Monsanto!

In the wake of a 12-year battle to keep Monsanto's Genetically Engineered (GE) crops from contaminating the nation's 25,000 organic farms and ranches, America's organic consumers and producers are facing betrayal. A self-appointed cabal of the Organic Elite, spearheaded by Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, has decided it's time to surrender to Monsanto. Top executives from these companies have publicly admitted that they no longer oppose the mass commercialization of GE crops, such as Monsanto's controversial Roundup Ready alfalfa, and are prepared to sit down and cut a deal for "coexistence" with Monsanto and USDA biotech cheerleader Tom Vilsack.
